That is veritably creepy and unsettling.

I’m always fascinated by stories of people who completely reinvent themselves and subsume themselves totally into another identity. It’s particularly fascinating when you read a good analysis of someone deconstructing their real identity completely in favor of something else.

What’s even more interesting is that I think that a lot of people have that potential and occasional mad desire to tease out a facet of themselves and let it run rampant for a minute, an hour, a day, or even longer, although I think most people keep it on a tether of rationality. It’s so easy to pretend to be someone else online and even, occasionally, in real life.

Speaking of newspaper articles, this one ran in my local paper today. Compares Batman with Teddy Roosevelt, and I read it with some amusement and wondered what you might think of it:

*hoping the link works, because I STILL manage to mess these things up on a regular basis…*

I can’t believe NBC gave this delusional child thief two hours of air time.
